South Baldwin Nets

The South Baldwin Amateur Radio Club calls an informal net every Monday at 8:00pm local time on 147.090 (+ 600), no tone is required for access.  Our regular NCO is Patti Link - KI4JEO, pictured at right. She has a large following every Monday evening.  Captain, Robert (Frog) Hardin, KG4DCE is our backup NCO.

This net is not restricted to club members; all licensed amateurs are invited to participate!

The Weeks Bay Repeater

The club owns a VHF repeater located near where Weeks Bay joins Mobile Bay. The frequency is 146.685 (– 600); a PL tone of 82.5 is required for access.

A Battery Backup System has been installed. The battery capacity is presently under study to estimate the length of time the repeater will operate under battery power.

There is an impromptu schedule on the 146.685 machine every morning about 7:30. Five or six guys discuss a variety of topics, technical, legal, medical, law enforcement, political, and many other issues. Tune in or join in.
